Using a Content Delivery Network with vBulletin

Ever use vBulletin before? Well, if you haven't, then know that vBulletin is one of the world largest forum and community publishing software on the Internet. Many Webmaster and Website owners have created vibrant communities for over 10 years on vBulletins' stable and mature platform. The vBulletin development team created the system with security in mind, while also providing powerful administration features. But like many systems there are always features that users want to see improved upon and implemented that would make their life easier.

At MaxCDN we saw the need to improve upon vBulletins' structure and on user request are working on a vBulletin CDN module to make it easy for a forum webmaster to integrate MaxCDN content delivery network services. Many big sites like Sitepoint.com use vBulletin to create a growing online community, but most of the time run into the problem of scaling to their own success. Very soon, MaxCDN will launch a vBulletin plug-in that speed up vBulletin by caching its static content and leaving its dynamic content untouched. Future releases will also integrate the dynamic content issues but at MaxCDN we felt a need to program a vBulletin module that is currently not available and much needed that would help the majority of vBulletin uses.
