We have been hard at work improving and fine tuning our CP. I would like the share the following updates with you:
Manage Zones with Ease
Manage your zones directly from the Dashboard. The new Manage button offers quick access to:
- Purge All Cache
- Manage Cache
Purge All Cache is one of the most convenient options in our new Manage feature. It was previously a three step process — now it’s just one. Save time and get back to what you do best.
New EdgeRules Recipes
With an investment of time and resources, we’ve improved the interface and functionality of EdgeRules. In short: it’s easy to use and a lot more powerful. At this time it is still an Enterprise feature, but we are working to make it available to everyone sometime this year.
We’ve also added an SEO category, as well as four new recipes and a recipe tour.
To prevent against certain types of cross-scripting attacks, the X-XSS-Protection HTTP header allows zones to turn the XSS filter off and on. This header only applies to Internet Explorer 8 and later versions.
Some attacks can be prevented by controlling the framing (using the <frame> or <iframe> tags) of your document. One example of an attack that utilizes framing is clickjacking, in which a malicious website includes your site in a frame.
X-Frame-Options allows three settings: ALLOW-FROM, DENY or SAMEORIGIN.
ALLOW-FROM allows frames in general. DENY denies all websites to use your website in a frame. ALLOW-FROM allows specific whitelisting from a specific origin or origins.
Add Canonical Header
Search engine results and clicks can be set to an origin URL, rather than the URL for cached information and content on a CDN’s edge server. Alternatively, if one would rather the results and clicks go to the CDN URL, that can be specified as well.
Rather than modifying the robots.txt file, the X-Robots-Tag allows users to specify pages and file types that can or cannot be indexed by bots. It’s a much more convenient alternative, as well.
To simplify and to provide working examples of the features in the Control Panel (without having to access the Knowledge Base), we’ve created a Recipies Tour.
We’re not done. We’ll never be done. And we’re always focused on improving your user experience. Now back to work
