Talking CDN and Speed at Velocity 2015, Santa Clara
May 19, 2015 | Kyrsten Lew
This year, we’re back as a proud sponsor of Velocity 2015, Santa Clara. The topic for 2015 – building resilient systems at scale – will give attendees the opportunity to learn the latest on web performance, optimization, DevOps and continuous delivery.
You can learn from experts 1-on-1 in the exhibit hall, or in a keynote setting. Below we’ll point out the presentations most likely to fuel your content delivery efforts this year and beyond. We’ll also recommend exhibitors with services you can combine with MaxCDN to deliver content better.
If you haven’t bought your ticket already, you can still register for as little as $99.
In the Exhibit Hall
Your Speed Team
Members of our Speed Team will be talking to attendees on Thursday and Friday in the exhibit hall. Whether you’re looking for a CDN solution or just interested in talking about where the industry is headed, we’d love to talk to you. Our booth will be decked out in pure MaxCDN orange.
Topics we’ll be covering at booth 514 include:
More WebPerf Companies
Cedexis, a company with a popular CDN load balancing solution we recommend, will be in the exhibit hall with us. They will be able to offer information on creating multi-CDN solutions with their service called Openmix.
Other noteworthy vendors include Catchpoint, a provider of web performance monitoring solutions, and Nginx, the high performance web server and reverse proxy. The products these companies provide play a pivotal role in our day-to-day operations at MaxCDN.
On the Speaker Stage
While there will be 150-200 speakers at Velocity, there are a few we recommend if you’re interested in learning more about content delivery networks.
- How LinkedIn Used RUM to Drive Optimizations and Make the Site Faster: Presented by Ritesh Maheshwari, staff software engineer at LinkedIn, you’ll learn how LinkedIn improved the performance of its platform with intelligent routing and more relevant PoPs. A good warm up for this presentation is this post on CDN PoPs.
- Preparing for CDN Failure: Why and How: Presented by Aaron Peters of Turbobytes and Kyle Young of Mobify, you’ll learn about multi-CDNs, CDN performance, and CDN failover strategies.
