101-Step Checklist for Building Better WordPress Websites
June 10, 2015 | Nirav Dave
This is a guest post from Nirav Dave, founder of Capsicum Mediaworks and creator of the infographic featured below. To date, this is the most comprehensive WordPress checklist MaxCDN has come across that’s also easy to follow.
One of the first problems we faced at our digital agency while working with WordPress was the lack of a documented process. We craved something that could keep our creativity on track, even when taking on the most diverse client projects.
We never could find a documented process we were pleased with though, and never created one ourselves. While such a process would have been good at the start, over time our team internalized the process. Through experience, we eventually got the development process down pat, to the point where documenting it seemed like a waste of time.
But then we realized: WordPress is a collaborative community. The same problem we were having at the start could now be facing those new to WordPress. So we decided to make an exhaustive checklist: one that covers every critical aspect of developing a quality WordPress website.
This checklist has all the tried-and-true steps involved in WordPress development. These steps are also universally relevant for all types of website projects and WordPress developers. Freelance and in-house developers can confidently use this checklist, as well as digital agencies like ours.
Of the WordPress-related services we have used over the years, we only mention ones in the checklist that have given us the best results. A classic example of one such service is MaxCDN. When our clients want to make their website faster and improve SEO, we always recommend them as a go-to content delivery network (CDN).
